The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a senior executive within a company who's primary duty is to protect the data and systems of the company from cyber-attacks. The CISO should have a thorough understanding of the company’s information security architecture, policies and procedures, as well as the vulnerabilities and capabilities of the company's IT (IT). A CISO is responsible for managing and leading the organization's security operations. This includes incident response and recovery.
